House Hunting

Searching a new home in a complex real estate market and in an unknown area is difficult, time-consuming and sometimes frustrating. Considering the criteria given by the employee as well as the local housing market we will find a selection of suitable homes as soon as possible. We will discuss the housing requirements and residential areas in order to submit a detailed information package. In accordance with the requirements, properties will be searched and preselected. A maximum of 10 properties will be proposed.  We will check the rental contract and will negotiate the contract in accordance with the wishes of the relocating person.

We will request and check 3 proposals from moving companies. Our company will select a mover and coordinate the move. A possible claim for damages will also be coordinated by “Quick Assist”.

Authority Assistance

We will with the power of attorney, take care of formalities such as obtaining a tax card or registering (or de-registering) at the local citizen’s administration office in order to get a residence permit.

We will take the necessary steps for the application and connection for registration of address, open a bank account, electricity, gas, water, garbage disposal and telephone and much more!
We take care of the official paperwork and other formalities for your employees, including registrations, applications and any necessary correspondence.

School Search
If your relocating employee has school aged children, the choice of school is critical to all family decisions and will influence the whole family’s perception of their new location. Getting the schooling right will expedite the relocation process and positively impact your relocating employee’s performance in the workplace.
We discuss each individual child before contacting a number of schools to establish available places and suitability. Also we provide a professional school search programme which takes in to account existing and future education plans. Once a school is chosen we will help with the application process.

Car and Driver’s License

Foreigners who do not possess a driver’s license from a European union country must apply for a Latvia driver’s license at the latest 6 months after the first registration with the local citizen administration office. This is the case if you want to drive in Latvia. We will with a power of attorney, take care of the the formalities. Also we will with a power of attorney for car registration with the Latvian license authority.

Departure Assistance

We help you with all the practical preparations when you are about to leave Latvia and make sure you get de-registered the right places.

This service includes termination of the lease agreement and utilities, de-registration with authorities, coordination of services such as packing/moving of household goods, final cleaning of the house or apartment and arranging return of deposit.
